EAST DALLAS VETERINARY CLINIC ADOPTEES
The employees at East Dallas Veterinary Clinic occasionally find or
take in animals in need of homes. Please check back here from time to time for information on new adoptees.
RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS
East Dallas Veterinary Clinic and its staff is pleased to have a working relationship with several rescue organizations in the DFW area. We work closely with each of the rescue groups to ensure the proper health of their available pets. East Dallas Veterinary Clinic will feature an available pet for adoption each month to help identify forever homes for these pets in need. Also please refer to the information below if you are interested in adopting, fostering, or helping any of the organizations that we currently work with. (East Dallas Veterinary Clinic is not responsible for any of the selection criteria and each rescue organization has their own guidelines and processes)
| Breed Rescue Groups (Dogs) | For those folks who are interested in a specific breed of dog, most breeds have a rescue group. These groups take animals picked up by the various Animal Control groups around the Metroplex as well as owner give-ups (many times due to age, relocation, financial difficulties).. |
The benefit of working with a breed-specific rescue group is their interest in placing the right dog in the right home. The dogs have already been checked out by a veterinarian, are healthy or health problems have been identified and are being treated. |
|
Many rescue groups are in need of foster homes, so if you are not sure you are ready for a permanent placement or simply want to help out, these rescue groups would be glad to hear from you. |

| Metroplex Mutts |
Metroplex Mutts mission is to give abandoned, neglected or abused homeless Metroplex animals a second chance at the life and love they deserve.
We are a group of committed individuals with over 30 years combined experience in animal rescue. We all share the same passion . . . saving animals from a life of abuse and neglect and lowering the number of Metroplex animals euthanized each year. We pull from local shelters as well as helping people who find stray animals find homes for them through our “Street Dog” program. We are a member of the Metroplex Animal Coalition and promote spay and neuter programs. |
| Paws In The City | Paws In The City works closely with Dallas Animals Service to rescue dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens who would never make it to the adoption floor due to medical issues. We also address the need to have these animals placed directly into foster care to prepare them for a life in a home with a family. We are 100% volunteer and currently do not have a shelter . Raising money and recruiting volunteers are our main focus. |
| Scottie Kingdom Rescue | Scottie Kingdom Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit rescue organization, based in Dallas, TX. We rescue Scottish Terriers (Scotties) and West Highland White Terriers (Westies). We are an all volunteer based rescue. No volunteer receives a salary for their work. We rely on direct donations, adoption donations and eBay sales to support our efforts to save Scotties & Westies in need. We are known to rescue dogs that may otherwise be overlooked, such as dogs with health issues or senior dogs. Please visit our website to see the wonderful dogs we have available, and also the dogs we have helped find loving homes, on our “Success Stories” page. |
