Amanda began at our clinic in 1998 working Saturdays while she was completing high school. She then went through the Veterinary Technology program at Cedar Valley College and graduated in 2002.
Amanda has a Papillon mix named Emmitt that was adopted from the Dallas Animal Shelter as a pup in 2005. She also has a Chiweenie named Crosby that she rescued as a pup that has a rare skin condition. Amanda does individual mixed breed rescue work and has personally rescued over 30 cats and dogs and has placed them in forever homes.
Amanda’s husband, Michael, also works as our Animal Care Manager. They welcomed their first “human baby,” a boy in October 2010. She loves bringing her son to the Dallas Zoo to feed the Giraffes. She and her family are actively involved with their church through volunteer work.
