Updates Appointment Pet Drop Off Procedure

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment to our clients and your loved pets. Due to the COVID-19 we are implementing a new drop off procedure.

  • With the continues changes to the Dallas County Ordincnace we are no longer allowing clients in the building during appointments as of Monday, March 23, 2020.
  • Please call the front desk upon arrival from your car. We can be reached at 214-328-9935
  • We will need the following information from you: your name, pet(s) name, and the reason for the visit.
  • One of our Veterinary Technicians will call you to discuss the symptoms your pet is experiencing.
  • Following that conversation you will need to inform the veterinary technician the type of vehicle you are in so she may come get your pet for his/her appointment. Your pet will not be allowed to enter the building with their personal collars and leashes, a slip leesh will be provided.
  • Our medical team will either call you or come out to your vehicle (maintaining the social distancing of six feet) to discuss initial findings and secure authorization for diagnostics/treatment/hospitalization, if needed.
  • Once your pet has been treated you will receive another call from the doctor going over the details of your pets visit.
  • For payment, we will be using verbal authorization over the phone with witnessing for credit card payments and cash at the time your pet is returned to your vehicle.
  • Our technician will then bring your pet as well as your paid invoice and medications to your vehicle.

We also want to extend assistance to our clients 60 years and older with help with essential errands like grocery store runs and pharmacy runs. If you are in need of assistance in these ways please give us a call at 214-328-9935.

Thank you for your understanding and please do not hesitate to call us with any questions. We're here for you, your pets, and our community. We will continue to keep you informed as news and information become available.

Thank you for being part of the East Dallas Veterinary Clinic family and we want you all to be safe.
